1. Overview

This notice explains cookies and similar storage on inkbloomhaven.life operated by Ink Bloom Haven Pte. Ltd.

We keep categories minimal: essential, optional functional, and analytics (not used).

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Local storage and session storage are similar technologies. We refer to all as storage in this notice where relevant.

3. Essential cookies

ibh_consent stores your JSON consent choice for six months with Path=/ and SameSite=Lax. Secure attribute added on HTTPS connections.

Required to remember Accept all, Reject all or Customise decisions between visits.

localStorage key cookie_consent_v1 mirrors the same JSON when available as a fallback if cookies are blocked.

Essential storage cannot be disabled while using the site because the banner would reappear every page load without it.

4. Functional cookies

When enabled via Accept all or Customise save, functional storage may remember layout preferences such as collapsed FAQ states on Plainspeak.

No functional storage is set until you opt in. Reject all keeps only essential consent storage.

Functional data stays on your device — we do not receive it on servers.

5. Analytics

We do not set analytics cookies or pixels. The customise panel shows an analytics toggle for transparency; main.js forces it off and does not persist analytics as true.

If this changes, we will update this notice and reset consent requests.

6. Google Maps

Embedded maps on every page may set cookies or use local storage under Google Maps Platform policies.

Loading a map constitutes interaction with Google as a separate controller. We embed for directions context only.

Review Google privacy policy for details. Avoid scrolling to map sections if you prefer not to load Google resources.

Map embed URL is consistent across pages; variant CSS classes (map-a through map-d) change presentation only.

7. Managing choices

Use Accept all, Reject all or Customise in the bottom banner on first visit.

Reopen preferences via Manage cookies button below or by calling window.inkbloomhavenCookies.manageCookies() in browser console if banner was dismissed.

Clear site data in browser settings to reset consent; banner reappears on next visit.

8. Consent record format

JSON schema version v=1 includes keys: essential (always true), functional (boolean), analytics (always false in practice), ts (ISO timestamp).

Written by main.js to cookie and localStorage simultaneously when possible.

9. Do Not Track

We do not respond to DNT signals because we already avoid analytics storage. Essential consent storage still applies.

10. Changes

We update this notice when mechanics change. Effective 13 August 2026.

Material changes will be paired with renewed consent request where required by law.

11. Browser controls

Most browsers allow blocking all cookies or deleting existing ones. Blocking essential consent storage will show the banner on every visit.

13. Retention of consent logs

Consent JSON includes timestamp ts field in ISO format. We do not maintain a separate server-side consent database beyond cookie and localStorage on your device.

Support staff may ask you to clear cookies and re-save if troubleshooting display issues tied to functional storage.
